Face-to-Face in God’s Nature

In the quiet of nature we find ourselves face-to-face with God’s love of life and variety of life, his cycles of life, death, and then life again, with the immensity of his time, and with the wonders and wisdom by which he created the universe. At the seashore, on a mountaintop, in a forest, in a garden—not distracted by human temporal busyness and presumed priorities, but instead surrounded by the big, little, and everywhere of his miracles—we fathom our relationship with our maker, and we thank him for allowing us, even for a short time, to experience his life and variety of life on Earth.
